Digital cable box question-CABLE TECHS

Hi,

I want to temporarily use one of my digital cable boxes from my old address at my new one.
I just want to avoid paying for a digital service.
I do not want anyone to take your own box to another house.
My question is: Could the cable company find out I'm using it at another address?

Please help.
