Provided you have a system that is up to the job, then there is a considerable difference between to otherwise identical drivers, one with a good quality ferrite and one with AlNiCo magnet.
The AlNiCo driver will have far better evenness in the low mid and into the bass, notes have greater density and much better contour, there is subjectively (not measurable in my experience) less distortion, resulting in a more colourful, purer and better separated sound.
This is a major reason why AlNiCo magnet, in spite of their much much higher cost, are making a firm comeback at the top end of the market.
