Кто любит Dire Straits может перевести? А то я в английском несилён =)

Схожу с ума, играя на танцульках, но это жизнь, которую я сам выбрал
Пою у "шести лезвиях" (песня Нопфлера), пою об американских горках (аттракцион) и он "мучительных татуировках" (хрен знает, что он имел в виду)
И я поездил на "призрачных поездах" (опять он что-то имеет в виду), которые скрипят и стучат
И я не знаю где я буду сегодня вечером, но я всегда могу сказать где я сейчас

такой перевод подойдет или копаться в словаре лондонского сленга?

Скорее всего torture tattoo означает (ну я бы перевел) как ошибки молодости

Переведу пожалуй второй куплет :):):)

В вопящем круговороте лиц я увидел её, стоящей в огнях
У неё был билет на гонки (на атракцион) и она тоже - жертва ночи
Я рискнул и подумал, будь что будет
Ведь это как однорукий бандит (игровой автомат), мои сердце и душу пронзила стрела

В кричащем круге лиц я увидел ее, стоявшую на свету
У нее был билетик на гонки (скорее на аттракционные гонки на карах), так же как и я она была жертвой этой ночи
Я положил руку на рычаг (видимо трансмиссии), порезвимся - сказал я себе
У меня началась "лихорадка однорукого бандита", стрела пронзила мое сердце и мою душу

не все так просто, Саша - Марк - любитель странных аллегорий и его просто невозможно переводить, не зная жизни в Лондоне конца 70-х.

Ну это да... Но ссылка на эту историю про поезд призрак имеет право на жизнь...

Можно наверное перевести и как опять таки вид атракциона: Ну знаешь, когда в вагочике едешь и там на тебя всякие чудища прыгают...

Ведь дело то в песне происходит в парке
атракционов :):):)

Кстати, вот интересно есть у Пинк Флойд в песне Have a cigar строчка: And did we tell you the name of the game, boy, we call it Riding the Gravy Train
И у Марка Нопфлера есть песня Riding on the Gravy Train http://www.knopfler.net/tcsa/chords/b_sides/dp2.html

сама фраза переводиться как загребание денег...

И я просто прусь от этого мира
Давай-ка с тобой "покатаемся" (take a low ride - просто ПОЕБАЦЦА иногда), дорогая

Русский язык слишком беден, чтобы все это описать и перевести. Именно поэтому все это надо ПОНИМАТЬ на родном языке. Не всегда и это получается.
